I’m Marquita Kalithia Green, LMT, but you can call me Mimi. I’m the heart behind Makali (pronounced mah-KAH-lee) Healing Arts. I offer personalized massage and energy healing sessions that support your body, mind, and spirit.
I was called to this work after my journey through chronic pain, autoimmune illness, and burnout. Massage and Reiki helped me reconnect with myself, and now I’m here to hold space for others to do the same.
My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and tailored to your needs, whether you’re seeking relief, rest, or realignment. My practice is inclusive, heart-led, and open to everyone.
Beyond the treatment room, I’m also a self-taught artist, creating acrylic paintings inspired by nature, energy, and spiritual symbolism. My artwork, like my healing sessions, flows from the same intention: to offer peace, beauty, and soulful connection. You can explore my art prints and creative offerings on my linked Makali Art page.
Each session is carefully tailored to support your entire being: body, mind, and spirit. I adopt a holistic approach, combining therapeutic massage techniques with Reiki to create a personalized experience that addresses your unique needs in the moment. Instead of relying on a single modality, I draw from a variety of methods, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and energy work. This integrative approach helps relieve physical tension, soothes the nervous system, calms the mind, restores energetic balance, and evokes a sense of well-being from the inside out.
What should I expect during my first session?
Before we begin, we’ll take a few minutes to discuss your goals, preferences, and any concerns you have. You’ll be guided on how to get comfortable on the table, and the session will be tailored to your needs that day. Whether you’re coming for pain relief, stress reduction, or energetic support, you’ll be treated with care, respect, and presence.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, energy-based healing practice that helps bring the body and mind into a state of deep relaxation and balance. It works by channeling universal life-force energy through the hands, either with light touch or just above the body, to support physical, emotional, and energetic healing.
Reiki can help release stuck energy, calm the nervous system, ease emotional stress, and promote overall well-being. While it’s not a massage, many clients say it feels just as grounding, peaceful, and restorative.
You don’t have to fully understand how it works to benefit from it, Reiki simply meets you where you are.
Is Reiki included in all sessions?
Yes, some Reiki is included in all sessions. I include it because Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal by calming the nervous system, clearing stagnant energy, and creating space for deeper emotional and physical release. It’s a gentle, intuitive form of energy work that complements massage beautifully. you can think of it as an energetic tune up.
However deeper energy work is done during the Signature Reiki infused Session
That said, Reiki is always optional. If you prefer a session focused purely on physical techniques, just let me know. Your comfort and preferences are always honored, this is your time to receive exactly what you need.
What should I wear?
For massage, undress to your comfort level. You’ll be covered with a sheet or blanket at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. For Reiki-only sessions, you remain fully clothed and may lie down or sit in a supported position.
Can I receive a massage if I have a chronic illness or medical condition?
Yes,with care. Please inform me of any diagnoses, sensitivities, or recent injuries on the intake form or before your session. If you’re under medical care or taking medication, we may adjust the approach for your safety and comfort.
Do you offer out-call or in-home sessions?
Yes. I currently offer Couples Massage Exchange sessions as an outcall service. Each partner receives a full individual session, one after the other while alternating childcare or caregiving duties.
Travel and setup fees range from $50 to $100, depending on the distance and whether I need to supply the massage table and materials. Standard session rates apply for each massage.
Do you offer a senior discount?
Yes. Clients 65 and older get 30% off any service. It’s my way of honoring you as an elder and supporting your ongoing wellness through every stage of life.
Do I have to be a member of Fit for Life to book a session with you?
No. While I offer sessions at the Fit for Life location in Jenkintown, you do not need to be a gym member to book with me. My services are open to everyone by appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a fee. Life happens. Just communicate when you can, and we’ll work together with grace
Do you offer packages?

To help you get the most out of your session, here are a few gentle reminders:
Arrive on time (or a few minutes early) so we can begin your session fully present and unhurried.
Silence your phone to minimize distractions and allow deeper relaxation.
Open communication is welcome—let me know if you need more or less pressure, or if something feels uncomfortable at any time.
Hygiene goes both ways—please arrive clean and freshly showered; I maintain a safe, sanitized space for all clients.
This is a professional healing space. Any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session.
Thank you in advance!
In a world that demands so much of us, rest is not indulgent; it’s essential. Massage isn’t just about pampering; it’s about restoring balance, easing pain, calming the nervous system, and reconnecting with your body. It supports your ability to move, sleep, cope, and just be.
You deserve care that helps you feel whole. Regular massage is a form of maintenance, not a reward.
